FEBRUARY MEMBER UPDATE 2024

Hello Riders,

As we kick off this February, I know many of you might have felt a bit heartbroken over the slow start to winter. But it looks like the snow gods have heard our collective sighs, and winter is gearing up for a comeback!

Clubs across the province are on a mission to make up for lost time. So whether you are aching for a powder fix or just looking to get outdoors on the trails with good company, this February is the reset we’ve all been waiving for. So get out there and make a date to explore a new area, dust off that vintage sled, or bundle up your kiddo’s for a ride to the cabin… sled season is back baby!

Step into BC's winter wonderland with a variety of events hosted by snowmobile clubs this month. From poker rides to women's events and adventures for the 'littles,' there's something for everyone to celebrate family, friends, and the great outdoors. See the event line up HERE.

BCSF Excellence Awards

Each year the BCSF recognizes outstanding contributions to our sport by individuals, clubs, and businesses.

Twin Anchors Houseboats is helping recognize the outstanding achievements of the 2024 BCSF Snowmobiler of the Year by providing them a 7-night vacation aboard a Cruisecraft II, 15 sleeper houseboat on the Shuswap!

BCSF Backcountry BINGO!

Congratulations to the Pine Valley Trail Blazers in Chetwynd, BC, for blazing a trail to victory as our first #BCSFBackcountryBINGO winner this season! They've snagged a trailhead transceiver checker unit and an 'Are You Beeping' informational sign!

The club and their riders went above and beyond by completing all the safety-related tasks in a straight line on the BINGO card, promoting avalanche and backcountry safety in their areas. What's even cooler is that they've set a goal to achieve EVERY SINGLE TASK on the card for a full blackout this season!

There are THREE more trailhead units up for grabs!

The Road To Resurgence: A New Chalet for the Vernon Snowmobile Club

In March 1967, a small group of visionaries gathered with a shared passion for snowmobiling and a commitment to fostering fellowship within the Vernon community.
