BC Snowmobile Federation Announces 2024 Snowmobiler of the Year: Loren Tabish
The BC Snowmobile Federation (BCSF) is honored to announce Loren Tabish as the recipient of this year's BC Snowmobiler of the Year award. Loren's dedication, passion, and selflessness truly embody the spirit of our sport.
As a founding member of the North Island Snowmobile Association (NISA) since the mid-1970s, Loren has been pivotal in securing snowmobiling access on Vancouver Island. From negotiating with landowners to organizing cleanups and fundraisers, his 40-year contribution is truly an inspiration.
This award is the highest honor available to a BC snowmobiler, recognizing an individual who has shown an extraordinary level of dedication to improving the sport of snowmobiling in BC. It exemplifies the high standards and selflessness that Pat Whiteway maintained during his lifetime. The recipient must have been involved in organized snowmobiling for most of their adult life, or their impact on the sport in BC must be so significant that time involved could not be overlooked.
Loren was presented his award at the BCSF Excellence Awards Gala in Valemount, BC. While he was unable to attend to accept his award in person, BCSF president Adam McDonald accepted the award on his behalf to a standing ovation as riders around the province stood in support of his remarkable contributions.
In recognition of his exceptional efforts, our friends at Twin Anchors Houseboat Vacations are treating Loren to a well-deserved 7-night vacation aboard a CruiseCraft II houseboat on Shuswap Lake!
Let's give a huge round of applause to Loren Tabish—BC's Snowmobiler of the Year!
