About the BCSF

The BC Snowmobile Federation (BCSF) has been the voice for snowmobiling in the province since 1965. We provide support for over 60 snowmobile clubs and steer province wide initiatives that promote safety, stewardship, land use planning, tourism, and the preservation of snowmobiling opportunities for future generations. 

The core values of the BCSF are based on community, integrity, engagement, and leadership. The BCSF commits to:

We are a registered not-for-profit society in British Columbia governed by a Board of Directors elected each year by our membership. 

BC Snowmobile Clubs Working For You

On the ground, BCSF snowmobile clubs are registered not-for-profit societies maintained by caring volunteers who promote safety, stewardship, and responsible backcountry snowmobile recreation at the local level. 

Opportunities for organized snowmobiling in the province are negotiated through land use partnership agreements between local snowmobile clubs, private landowners, and the BC Government. These agreements set forth obligations for the snowmobile club to hold insurance and further define maintenance standards for trails and infrastructure such as grooming, warming shelters and parking areas. 

Snowmobile Clubs are driven by member-elected Board of Directors that provide leadership and energize the membership towards their collective goals. Each local club is governed by the BC Societies Act, their club Bylaws, and other provincial legislation. Members are encouraged to become involved and understand the inner workings of their snowmobile club by attending a meeting or volunteering.
