IT’S MORE THAN A TRAIL PASS

 MEMBERSHIPS & TRAIL PASSES

Snowmobiling in BC’s managed areas operates on a user-pay, cost-recovery model. Clubs deliver the services. Riders cover the costs. And every dollar goes straight back into the trails.

Under Part 5 of the Forest Recreation Regulation (FRPA), clubs are legally authorized to collect trail fees. These funds must be reinvested into public recreation through grooming, signage, shelters, and safety programs. Backed by government agreements and annual audits, this system is built on transparency, accountability, and sustainability.

Why Membership Matters

A trail pass gives you access, but a club membership connects you to something bigger. By joining a BCSF club, you:

  • Support the volunteers who maintain 18,000 km of managed trails and 90+ sites.

  • Strengthen advocacy for land access, safety, and responsible recreation across BC.

  • Gain access to exclusive member benefits, discounts, and partner perks that add value all season long.
