BC Snowmobile Federation Contributes Provincial Perspective at CCSO Annual Meetings

Last week, the BC Snowmobile Federation embarked on a journey to Cornerbrook, Newfoundland, to partake in the annual meetings of the Canadian Council of Snowmobile Organizations (CCSO). This gathering saw the convergence of 12 provincial and territorial organizations, united in their mission to address challenges within the snowmobiling industry and chart pathways toward sustainable solutions.

The CCSO serves as the nationwide umbrella for snowmobiling, collectively representing an impressive network of 130,000 kilometers of trails and fostering a robust $9 billion industry. Each year, these pivotal meetings serve as a platform for organizations to synchronize their efforts and ensure alignment towards common objectives.

During this year's deliberations, the BC Snowmobile Federation contributed valuable insights from the provincial perspective. Emphasizing the unique challenges and opportunities prevalent in the western region, the Federation underscored the importance of fostering collaborative Indigenous relations, spearheading Environmental Stewardship programs, and laying groundwork for the integration of electric snowmobiles and technology into future planning initiatives.
