Announcing the Rider Check-In: 2024 Mental Health Survey for Sledders
Snowmobilers, your well-being matters!
The BC Snowmobile Federation is excited to announce the launch of our Rider Check-In: 2024 Mental Health Survey for Sledders. This quick, anonymous survey is designed to help us understand how snowmobiling impacts mental health and find ways to support you before, during, and after critical backcountry incidents.
Why Participate?
Mental health is a crucial aspect of overall well-being, and it's time we break the silence surrounding it in the snowmobiling community. Your participation will take just 10 minutes but will make a significant difference in shaping mental health resources for riders. By contributing your insights, you are helping us understand current challenges and create a supportive environment for all snowmobilers.
Why This Matters
We've heard two key concerns from our community that this survey aims to address:
Highlighting Mental Health Benefits: Snowmobilers have expressed a need for better recognition of the mental health benefits they receive from the sport. These insights can serve as a powerful tool in advocating for the preservation and enhancement of riding areas.
Supporting Riders Through Critical Incidents: Many riders have shared their experiences of struggling to find mental health resources after snowmobiling incidents. We aim to bridge this gap by developing tailored support systems for before, during, and after these events.
Acknowledgments
We are deeply grateful for the funding provided by the International Snowmobile Manufacturers Association. Their support has been instrumental in making this important project a reality.
Together, let's break the silence on mental health and ensure that every snowmobiler has access to the support they need. Your voice matters—thank you for helping us make a difference!
Take the survey NOW and contribute to a healthier, more supportive snowmobiling community.
