BC Snowmobile Clubs Fuel Community Spirit: Snowarama 2024 Update
In the spirit of giving and adventure, the 2024-2025 season of BCSF Snowarama events has once again left its mark across communities in British Columbia. For over four decades, the BC Snowmobile Federation and its member clubs have proudly stood behind Easter Seals BC/Yukon as their charity of choice, collectively raising nearly $4 million dollars over the years.
From vintage poker rides to lively BINGO rallies, each Snowarama event hosted by our clubs provides critical funding toward two vital Easter Seals services:
Easter Seals House in Vancouver: Affordable, compassionate accommodation for families and individuals traveling for medical care or seeking respite.
Easter Seals Summer Camps: Fully accessible, nature-based overnight camps for youth and adults (ages 6-49) with disabilities.
2024-2025 SNOWARAMA HIGHLIGHTS
This season's Snowarama events truly showcased the heart and generosity of BC's snowmobiling community:
Hunters Range Snowmobile Club hosted their Family BINGO Rally and raised an incredible $2,614.
Kamloops Snowmobile Association brought in $5,665 through a Silent Auction, Poker Run, 50/50 draws, and meal sales — all fueled by volunteer spirit and donated prizes.
North Island Snowmobile Association (NISA) welcomed over 160 attendees at their February 16th Snowarama, raising an outstanding $9,610 through prize raffles, 50/50 draws, cash donations, and pledge sheets.
We’d like to applaud the clubs and dedicated volunteers across the province who hosted Snowarama events this season. These events are a true reflection of the heart and spirit of snowmobiling in BC — bringing people together to connect, support one another, and celebrate the beautiful landscape we call home.
Easter Seals House: A Vital Lifeline for Rural Communities
Easter Seals House isn’t just a distant cause — it’s a service that touches the lives of families from right here in our snowmobiling communities. When specialized medical care takes people far from home, Easter Seals House provides a safe, affordable, and welcoming place to stay, steps away from Vancouver's major hospitals.
To truly understand how close to home this need is, just look at how many guests came from some of BC’s most popular snowmobiling towns last year:
Kelowna: 554 guests
Merritt: 174 guests
Cranbrook: 132 guests
Coldstream: 160 guests
Chilliwack: 134 guests
Nelson: 106 guests
Revelstoke: 47 guests
And this is just a glimpse — if you think your community isn't impacted, we encourage you to check the full list. Chances are, someone from your hometown has stayed at Easter Seals House when they needed it most.
Help Us Grow Snowarama Even Bigger!
Seeing the difference these events make, we encourage more clubs to host a Snowarama in the future!
It can be as simple as a poker run, a family ride day, or a BINGO rally — anything that brings people together for a cause that truly hits close to home.
When we rally together, we not only strengthen our communities but also ensure that vital services like Easter Seals House continue to be there when our families need them most.
Thank you to every volunteer, every donor, and every rider who made this year's Snowaramas a success.
