Celebrate Snowmobiling with ISMA’s Upcoming Events: Snowmobile Day and International Snowmobile Ride Day

The International Snowmobile Manufacturers Association (ISMA) has announced two major events to kick off the upcoming snowmobiling season: Snowmobile Day on October 26, 2024, and International Snowmobile Ride Day on February 8, 2025. These events are an incredible opportunity to celebrate the sport, connect with fellow enthusiasts, and gear up for winter.

Snowmobile Day aligns with “Snöskoters Dag,” a tradition in Sweden that has been running for over 40 years. ISMA encourages snowmobile clubs, local dealerships, associations, and groups to participate in the event and bring their community together. Clubs are invited to partner with a local snowmobile dealership as a celebration location, fostering a fun and engaging environment that also supports local businesses.

Event Highlights:

  • Host a family-friendly festival with BBQ, refreshments, music, and vintage sled displays.

  • Set up an open house to showcase the latest snowmobiles and gear for the upcoming season.

  • Engage with new riders, recruit volunteers, and drive club memberships.

International Snowmobile Ride Day was originally launched by Bombardier Recreational Products (BRP) and is now under ISMA’s management. This event encourages riders of all brands to hit the trails on February 8, 2025. ISMA suggests snowmobile clubs celebrate this day with activities like open houses, hot chocolate stands at trail intersections, or BBQs at trailheads.

Funding Opportunity for Participating Clubs: To support these events, ISMA is offering up to $500 in funding to select snowmobile clubs and associations that participate in both Snowmobile Day and International Snowmobile Ride Day. This funding can help enhance your club’s event, attract more participants, and promote snowmobiling in your community.

How to Apply:

  1. To be considered for the funding, email Susan Andrews at Susan.Andrews@snowmobile.org for an application form.

  2. Submit your completed application by September 16, 2024.

  3. Clubs will be notified regarding their submission by October 1, 2024.
