Now Hiring: South Peace Administrative Coordinator – Join the BCSF Team!
The BC Snowmobile Federation (BCSF) is excited to announce a new opportunity for someone passionate about supporting organized snowmobiling in northern BC. We’re currently hiring a South Peace Administrative Coordinator to work directly with our Executive Director and the snowmobile clubs in Tumbler Ridge, Chetwynd, and Mackenzie.
This part-time, contract position is ideal for someone with strong administrative skills, a background in non-profit or recreation operations, and a desire to make a tangible impact in their community. The role offers flexible hours, the ability to work from home, and the chance to be a driving force behind projects that improve local snowmobile infrastructure, grow club capacity, and strengthen regional partnerships.
About the Role
Working collaboratively with the BCSF and local club directors, the Administrative Coordinator will:
Support club operations through administrative and board assistance
Secure land authorizations and maintain existing agreements
Assist in hiring and supervising seasonal staff
Apply for grants and pursue sustainable funding sources
Strengthen relationships with government, First Nations, and community stakeholders
Improve club communications via newsletters, social media, and member updates
Champion a culture of stewardship, safety, and risk management
This role is field-based and remote, ideally suited for someone living in Tumbler Ridge, Chetwynd, or Mackenzie, though strong applicants from elsewhere in BC will be considered.
Qualifications We’re Looking For
Strong administrative skills and self-motivation
Experience in grant writing, land authorization, or non-profit operations
Excellent communication skills and comfort working with Google Workspace
Respectful relationship-building experience with Indigenous communities and government
A background in rural recreation, tourism, or snowmobiling is a bonus
Why This Role Matters
This position was made possible through club investment and the vision laid out in the South Peace Snowmobile Development Plan. While the BCSF will provide support, this is an opportunity for a motivated individual to grow the role into a long-term, community-serving position with lasting impact.
