Celebrating Years of Volunteer Service: Amanda L’Heureux
After years of dedicated service, Amanda L’Heureux will be concluding her time on the Board of Directors for the BC Snowmobile Federation at the completion of her term in 2026.
Amanda has represented Northern communities through her involvement with the Kawka Park Snowmobile Club and was first elected as Area 6 Director in 2018. She was re-elected in 2020 and later elected Secretary in 2022, a role she was re-elected to in 2024. Over the course of her service, she has exemplified the kind of leadership that strengthens organizations from the inside out.
Strong boards are not built on volume. They are built on preparation, integrity, and trust.
Amanda does her homework. She listens carefully to every voice at the table. She speaks with intention and clarity. And once a decision is reached, she supports it fully — without ego, without drama, without personal pride. Just a steady commitment to advancing what is best for organized snowmobiling in British Columbia.
Through seasons of growth, governance evolution, and complex land-use conversations, Amanda has been a quiet rock for this Federation. Her colleagues know they can trust her discretion. Her confidentiality is unwavering. Her care for the organization runs deep — even if it is expressed without fanfare.
Those who have had the privilege of working alongside her have come to appreciate the person behind the calm exterior: loyal, thoughtful, grounded, and deeply connected to her family, her community, and of course, her sled (which, by some accounts, may be just a little bit nicer than Les’s).
More than once, Amanda has brought conversations back to what truly matters — perspective, community, and the long-term health of our sport.
Her presence has strengthened this Federation.
On behalf of the Board of Directors and our member clubs across the province, we extend our sincere gratitude to Amanda L’Heureux for her years of service, her steady leadership, and the example she has set for those who will follow.
Thank you, Amanda.
