The BC Snowmobile Federation, in conjunction with Recreation Sites and Trails BC, ATVBC, and the BC Off Road Motorcycle Association, are please to announce the recipients of the 2022 ORV Trail Fund.

On April 30th, 2022 the British Columbia snowmobile community gathered in Kamloops, BC for the BC Snowmobile Federation Annual Excellence Awards ceremony. The event recognizes exceptional contributions made over the past year from riders, businesses, and snowmobile clubs who have enhanced the sport.

The BC Snowmobile Federation (BCSF) is excited to announce our new program, the Snowmobile Infrastructure Fund. This Fund has been created to support the ongoing investment in snowmobile club trails, equipment and infrastructure to grow snowmobile opportunities in BC. The BCSF has secured our first investment of $330,000 from the Province of BC - Caribou Recovery Program for the Snowmobile Clubs located in the South Peace region.

Located at the original mile zero of the Alaska Highway (now mile 300), is the BC Snowmobile Federation's northern-most snowmobile club in the province! The Fort Nelson Snowmobile Club features over 100km of groomed loop trails and three impressive warming shelters thanks to the diligent work of volunteers like Club President Wayne Wheeler in recent years.

Chief volunteer, face of the organization, the glue that holds the club together... these are just a few of the subtitles you may see listed beside the role of Snowmobile Club President. In BC, snowmobile clubs operate as Not-For-Profit Societies bound by legislation called the Societies Act.
