2026–2027 ORV Trail Fund Recipients Announced: Investing in BC’s Snowmobile Trails

In partnership with Recreation Sites and Trails BC, the BC Snowmobile Federation is proud to announce the following member club recipients of the 2026 Off-Road Vehicle (ORV) Trail Fund.

Funded through Off-Road Vehicle registration dollars, the ORV Trail Fund is a direct reinvestment into the trails, infrastructure, safety programs, and riding experiences used by recreationists across British Columbia. The program continues to support volunteer-led projects that strengthen safe, sustainable, and responsible access to the backcountry.

This year’s funded snowmobile projects include investments in trail maintenance, brushing, infrastructure rehabilitation, signage, technology upgrades, and rider education initiatives across the province.

BC Snowmobile Federation project recipients for 2026 include:

  • Revelstoke Snowmobile Club, Outhouse Upgrade Project — $25,000

  • Kamloops Snowmobile Association, Bonaparte/Tranquille & Tod Mountain Trail Brushing — $24,615

  • Lumby Mabel Lake Snowmobile Association, Park Mountain Chalet Solar & Technology Upgrades — $10,500

  • Valemount & Area Recreation Development Association, Clemina Creek Bridge Rehabilitation — $25,000

The BC Snowmobile Federation also received funding through the 2026 ORV Trail Fund to support the next phase of digital tools, education, and operational resources for member clubs across British Columbia. The investment will help advance new initiatives including delivery of the Federation’s groomer operator training program, governance and club leadership education, expanded safety and operational resources, and enhanced web-based tools designed to help clubs better communicate with riders and showcase local riding information, services, and opportunities.

Since launching in 2017, the ORV Trail Fund has invested millions of dollars into projects supporting motorized recreation across British Columbia. The fund is delivered collaboratively through Recreation Sites and Trails BC alongside the BC Snowmobile Federation, ATV Association of BC, and BC Off Road Motorcycle Association.

The BC Snowmobile Federation would like to congratulate all funding recipients and recognize the volunteers whose ongoing work continues to strengthen BC’s snowmobile trail network, infrastructure, safety, and stewardship efforts across the province.
