BCSF Annual General Meeting & Excellence Awards Gala

We are excited to announce that the 2025 BC Snowmobile Federation (BCSF) Annual General Meeting, Conferences, and Excellence Awards Gala will be held in Squamish, BC, from March 21-23, 2025. This special event is a cooperative effort with the Black Tusk Snowmobile Club (Squamish, BC) and the Powder Mountain Snowmobile Club (Whistler, BC).

SCHEDULE:

  • Fri March 21: Club Congress Day of Learning

  • Sat March 22: Congress (morning), AGM (afternoon), Excellence Awards and Gala Supper (evening)

  • Sun March 23: Club Ride at Brohm Ridge (tentative)

  • Mon March 24: Club Ride at Brandywine (tentative)

Squamish Off Road Mountain Bike Association

In 2022, the Squamish Off Road Mountain Bike Association (SORCA) signed a groundbreaking memorandum of understanding with the Squamish Nation, establishing a framework for collaborative recreational land use. SORCA will share their experience and insights with BC snowmobile clubs, offering practical guidance on building similar relationships with Indigenous communities to enhance sustainable land use and recreation opportunities.

Cody McNolty

Cody McNolty, a passionate Skidoo Ambassador, thrives on pushing the boundaries—whether it’s exploring untouched snow or mastering big drops and jumps. Known for his unwavering winter stoke, Cody will be presenting on how to engage youth in snowmobiling, focusing on teaching the next generation both the thrill of the sport and the importance of stewardship skills to ensure they can enjoy the backcountry responsibly and safely.

Destination BC - Sea to Sky Destination Management Council

The Sea-to-Sky Corridor is experiencing growing challenges from increased tourism and recreation, leading to issues like irresponsible land use, strain on search and rescue teams, and overcrowding. In response, the "Don’t Love It to Death" campaign was launched to encourage responsible recreation and sustainable access. This session will highlight the campaign’s impact and explore how similar strategies can support the snowmobiling community.

Ryan Morasiewicz, Outdoor/Adventure and Insurance Defense Lawyer

Ryan Morasiewicz, an experienced Outdoor/Adventure and Insurance Defense lawyer, will provide expert insights into risk management, liability waivers, and the steps to take following an incident in outdoor recreation. With extensive experience in outdoor industry litigation, Ryan will offer practical guidance on protecting your club from legal exposure. Drawing from his work with North Shore Rescue and as a former Director of the Association of Canadian Mountain Guides, this session will equip clubs with the knowledge to manage risks and navigate legal challenges.

Rachela Pollock, Acera Insurance

Join Rachela Pollock from Acera Insurance for an in-depth look at the BCSF Insurance Program. This session will cover key aspects of coverage, risk management considerations for clubs, and best practices to ensure your club is properly protected. Whether you have questions about liability, property, or event insurance, this is a great opportunity to gain clarity and insight into the program.
